The 2023 Nigerian presidential election, held on 25 February 2023, was a highly anticipated event as citizens eagerly awaited the election of a new president and vice president to succeed the incumbent APC President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Nigerian Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that more than 80 million citizens were expected to vote, and that ballot sorting and counting were underway in all 36 states and 774 local governments.

The election results trickled in as the world watched with bated breath, and the people of Nigeria waited with bated breath to see who would emerge victorious.
